Cold and Wet!! Tried to hit it this morning but I almost froze to death first. Maybe I turned my calender to soon because mine says June. Yuck!! Only one bite today and it was not very hard. It was however a big bass. I through a spinnerbait on top of some pads and when I pulled it into the water there was a big swirl. My brain was so cold it didn't even dawn on me that it was a fish. I reeled a few more feet and then she grabbed it. She was only about ten feet from the boat then and she immediately dove right under then came back up and jumped real nice. At that point I realized she was big. In fact bigger than anything I have cough before. I also realized that she was not hooked well either. Well she jumped on more time, blew me a kiss, and that was it. I wanted to cry. She was at least six pounds. I stayed for about another hour after that with no luck. I tried spinnerbaits, texas rigs, and drop shooting. Nothing. Someday Summer will be here, until then...
