Got in some fishing in between ballgames. Saturday evening I fished the rock shoreline just south of the Best Western at the I-90 bridge. Using a 5" black/silver rapalla I caught a nice 18" walleye. Unexpected - I figured on finding bass. So the next morning I fished an hour (6-7am) using the same lure and then a crawfish deep driving plug from shore. I had one bass follow but no fish. A couple of guys were fishing at the I-90 bridge and had a small bass and a walleye. It was interesting to fish this area as I'd read about the spot but never been there. Would love to explore the lake in a boat. Also on Saturday saw a bunch of boats in a swallow bay looking like they were bow and arrow shooting carp.

Hey Mike , i was there saturday as well fishing the washington state federation touney (sorry i missed ya ) .. Yeah there was a "carp tourney" going on that day as well , that was very weird to me , iv never seen anything like that (crazy) .. Glad you had fun and the weather was awsome ..see ya at the picnic .. BBD

it was a carp tourney? Didn't know they had those. That would explain the dozen boats on Sat and one on Sunday.
