Well it was nice to get out on the cool lake this evening after another hot day, but the fishing was pretty poor. Tossed jigs, plugs, and senkos and came up short. Son James got a perch on a plug to avoid the skunk. Will be back I'm sure.

where did you fish Mike?? i have hit this lake before but way earlier in the season. i usually hit the county park on the south bowl. i have hit the middle/north bowl connection and it has some pretty sweet structure for bass, but i have only seen trout. H2O temp??

Come on Mike I hear you fish better than that!

We fished the lower third of the lake. Honestly it wasn't hard core fishing. A couple hours. More just a chance to get out with my son and hang out doign something other than baseball.

As to my skills - very over-rated. :-)

I've seen your skills Mike -- And, I wouldn't say they were over-rated. :-)

I got your back Mr. Carey! Roesiger has been slow all year! Last time I was there we saw lunkers (3, 4, 5 and even 6 lbs) in the shallows by the county park but couldn't hook into anything. We too left with only a couple perch.
