Well I have made some phone calls. Gravelly Lake has been stocked privately. The state hasn't stocked this lake in 20 years. There are no streams in or out. The city of lakewood has studied the Lake and after public hearings decided that the Lake is too small and the road ends too steep and dangerous and overgrown to try to do anything with. They don't have enough money to properly manage the lakes access and launches that they currently have on other lakes like American and Steilacom.. The only way on the lake is by invitation or float plane

The big picture is that if you want a Blue Ribbon Lake, practice catch and release and keep the locals happy instead of battling them. Looks like "Catch and Kill Fishing" along with yelling matches have ruined our chances on Gravelly Lake. Live and learn!

The owners around the lake have some $$$$, and you are probably not going to want to fish there anyway because of the size, and the wakeboard boats......

Contrary to popular belief there is still public access to Gravely lake if you dont mind going through the bushes. the drawback is that there is no place to park on the street bu there are 2 streets that dead end at the lake and the land thier is considered public property as long as you dont stray into the homeowners land. these 2 street can be hound on lakewoods website. but if you are lucky enough to be invited to fish via someones property as long as they dont have a problem with you keeping a couple fish then the other homeowners legal cant do a thing because even though they paid to have the lake stocked by washington state law all lakes and waters within the states boarders are owned by the state and once the fish are released into the water they become puplic property. The only reason the homeowners are getting away with anything is because not enough people are throwing a fit about it. if we got all the residents within the city of lakewood to to complain enough about not being allowed easy access to this lake then the city would be forced to do something about it and those few homeowners that live there wouldnt be able to stop it. or maybe we should complain more to the state and get them to put in a state run access site like there should be.
