fish'd 1 hour from 2-3:00pm using a similar jig that i lost to a bigger trout 1/2 hour before this one. this one went 28" and was exactly 8lbs on a certified scale. had several hook-ups but hard to keep them on the barbless hook. i was the only one on the ice, several fishermen fishing the open water on the other side of the lake. one fish limit so i decided to take this one home. warden came just as i was heading to the car (most likely watching me from the highway) good to see them working the area as they usually catch someone not following the rules on this lake.
