Arrived late at Spencer, around 11:00 and fished till 3:00. C&R 12 near the bay in 12-15' with size 8-10 rabbit leeches I made (red, black and olive colors all worked). Weather was great with the sun out, no wind and water was like glass (except for the boat speeding around at the end of the day, should be some no wake zone near the launch area). Must have been 8 other boats on the lake when I left in the parking area. Best fishing was where the eagle was hunting. I figured if he was catching them so could I. Fish were 12-14" and may have been the recently planted. Lots of jumps and good runs on a 3 wt rod, type 3 sinking line. Its a long drive from Seattle but well worth it if you can make it there.
