The original plan was to go after some bass.Big bass or dinks...we didn't care. The family and I brought up the boat but upon our arrival, the winds began to pick up. With the boat ready to drop in, looked at all the stumps and decided it would be better(safe) to fish from shore. The boat can handle the winds but this lake has WAY to many stumps, for every one you can see, there must be 10 or more that sit just under the surface and would love to smack the boat and trolling motor around...No thanks(lol).

Changed tactics for trout. My wife and son did the old powerbait but no luck today. I tried tossing a few spoons but limited in where I could put them due to debris and stumps...again, no luck. After an hour or so, decided to call it but still a great trip. We'll be back soon and looking for bass.

Weather was overcast with heavy rains and winds at times. Sorry, unknown water temps.

'Ya Kevin . . . . just never know when a big 'ole bucketmouth will be hiding behind one of those stumps!

where on Kapowsin do you search for Bass? I've caught many nice sized trout there, usually trolling, but never any bass.

For Dustin07--fish for bass on the western side of the island. Fish for crappie across from the boat rental place. Troll for trout down the middle of the lake only up to the old public boat launch. way down at the end of the lake, on the east side is great crappie water and further down at the end is good bluegill fishing. some bass down at the end of the lake, but never had much luck down there.
