Fished from noon to 6 p.m. water temp at start at public boat launch 55 degrees high temp for the day was 61 degrees. water still clear for this lake and got to see fish strike tube bait. Found fish at island end of lake deep in brush along the shore line. Could only get 1 to boat but had fun trying to get 5 other fish out of the brush. First bass for the year out of this lake. Trout fishing pressure on this lake is way down probably for the present weed growth which is way up for this lake even though water is also high which means when water starts to fall due to rising temps weeds will be thick. Saw a Bald Eagle at public boat launch which seemed not afraid of human present and was content on feeding on some thing on the launch. Closest I have ever been to a Bald Eagle. Must have been some rough water this last winter for some of the logs that have been stationary for decades moved quite a ways from the original spot. Lots of Trout rising on this lake with little pressure from anglers. Most trout fishermen looked like fishing off bottom with anchored boat do not know what bait used or results of catch for trout.

Great report Dave ... I am planning a trip to your lake in the near future and am looking forward in hooking into some of the bass you have down there. Thanks again for the great info you share!
