Not sure why we didn't bring the boat but not a problem today. Tried for bass at first and got one solid hit using a minnow rap but never saw the fish but didn't feel very large. Casted to the same area for about an hour but nothing. Then tried a few Road Runner jigs in a variety of colors in search of crappie...still nothing. Then switched gears and targeted perch(BINGO) just used the classic worm and bobber off the Lakeview Resort dock. Caught tons of them,I have no idea...at least 30 or more. Released all fish with the exception of one, just hooked to deep. Largest perch might have gone around 12inches...not very big but great memories with the family today.

Weather-mostly overcast with some clearing and showers at times.

Hey Kev, a 12 inch perch is a dandy. Way to go developing a lifetime fishing buddy. Been there and done that.
