Hit Hayes lake sunday. I usally fish this lake along I-5 once or twice a year, it get's fished alot for it's size. I fished most of the lake and as always didnt hit anything until I got to the corner of the I-5 side and around the the other corner. This lake is pretty slow in most of my trips here BUT when you do get something it's pretty nice in most cases. This time though I only hit 1 fish and it wasnt what I hook in here most times. Not the quality i'm used to. I have hooked a few 5+lbers in here and lost much bigger. Weather was a little on the chilly side and at times very windy. Used plastics mostly, 7in power worms in green or purple texas rigged. Did try some jigs and senko's but no luck. Taking the later part of the week off to fish so hopefully I got something better for everyone.
