Went to Big four only to see the Tucannon raging with life threatening current. Few braved the current to cross over. I however did brave the river (and really thought twice about it as I did it) when I got there I found the lake nearly iced over. We stood there in the icy cold conditions which required constant deicing of our rods and caught nothing all day. We had a couple bumps but that was it. Didn't see much action on the top either. We will try back in a month or so when it warms up and things settle down. I had heard a rumor that said the Fish and Game Dept. had exaggerated the stocking of this lake this year and had placed most of the brooders in Rainbow lake to appease the masses.
