Fished for about an hour, from the shores of the park, until it got dark. Released 4 unlucky little largemouth bass.

what are you using to catch these bass? ever tried lake Ballinger for largemouth bass yet this year?

I was using the perch pattern original floating rapala. Never have worked Ballinger for bass, only trout. Do you know of any particular corner of Ballinger that is good for bass?

off the lillies next to the dock and above and into the milfoil and weeds by the dock!

Try north end and around island. Try south of fishing dock along edge. Just about anyplace along edge of lake will hold LMB. As the Lily pads grow they will be easier to get. Good luck

Forgot to mention that there are lots of crawfish and small yellow perch in lake Ballinger.....fish accordingly with proper baits.
