Lake Chelan remains very good fishing for Laketrout with a Chinook mixed in here and there but this was a change of pace for me to go to Rufus Woods..The bite in the 1st 3 hours was hotttt...We boated 3 of the six fish over 4 lbs. and then we were looking for the whopper..Caught these fish on my Joe Fly wooley bugger trolling..Then changed it up and started casting Roostertails to the shores to really get into a bite..I think that we boated over 20 bows casting and ended the day with 34 trout landed with having to keep the last fish from a bad hook..All fish that we kept were 3 to 5 lbs..Very nice for this time of the year..Usually it starts slowing down when the weather warms up but not today..Good luck to all and feel free to contact me with questions or comments anytime..

Thanks for the update on RW , Joe. First report in a while for RW and sounds like there were fish to be caught. Will have to give it a try soon.

I found fish tight to the shore and out from shore in 10ft...Most of the biters were 1 to 5 ft in depth just off the shoreline...

Were you fishing at the end of the lake near Chief Joseph dam or was it necessary to run all the way up to the net pens?? I've got a small boat and I hate to run that far if I can stay down near the can line. Also, when I went fishing with you on Chelan, you said Palmer Lake was a hot spot for bass. Have you tried it lately??

I found the best bite at and around the Pens..The bass bite is good up at Palmer..A buddy fished it this last week and banged them...
