My cousin and I arrived at Sprague Lake Friday afternoon. After storing our gear in our cabin we hit the lake and managed to catch 3 rainbow trout 19 to 21 inches. During the next three days we caught many more large trout up to 4.5 pounds.

Those are FAT trout. Good for you guys. I was out there fishing off the resort on the dock last Thursday and caught 2 fatties. (2-3 pounders) I took em home and my wife made them the next night and they tasted pretty muddy. Next time I'm either throwing em back or giving them away! Don't need any more for the smoker...Have plenty of those!

Hi, I'm very appreciative of your info and expertise. I've been following this page for a short while and I just joined today. I'm traveling to Sprague for my first time next week(last full week of June). I would like to know which camp ground you prefer. If you know, I would like to know which one has better shore/dock fishing. I would also rent a boat if that's a better idea.... Keep fishing and posting...Thx, Buhba

Bubba, let me have your email address. I don't think I can give you the resort info here.

We stayed at the Four Seasons Campground. They have been catching trout off of the dock and you can rent a boat there too.
