Tried to have a relaxing day of fishing, but it started out frustrating! The weather seemed to play a big part in it, first it was sunny 62 degress, later on rain and wind, and then at the end of the day when it was clearing up I decided to head to bitter lake. I have never been there before but i've heard it was okay fishing. When I arrives at the lake the rain started to come back, but only lasted a 15 min. and the sun came out. So it was time to fish I tried jig heads and plastics around the lilly pads for a half hour and gave up. Then I decided to try for trout and with in 10 min. or so i hooked a pretty good size rainbow (12.5in.). i was the only one fishing, (which was nice). It is a guarantee I will be back for more trout.
