Yep another day on the lake,

I figured on going to liberty, cause it's one of the closest lakes with a decent chance of walleye from cheney, apparently not though.

We trolled crank baits 30 yards on the break all the way around the lake and picked up 3 smallies and that was it. I think I might go back out and try jigging some gulp leeches for the walleyes, but the lake is always so busy that it's a pain in the butt, especially because I have to drive from cheney.

But otherwise, the possibility of some walldos makes it worth it to me.

Has anyone ever actually caught walleyes on Liberty?

I heard people only catch walleye at night, fishing at the deepest portion of the lake, which is about 30 ft deep. Don't know what they use though. last time i went there, which was yesterday, we anchored off in the deepest portion of the lake to try for some browns. Caught one large catfish, and tons of large perch, (8-10 inches). All we did was drop a worm straight of the boat to the bottom, then reel it the weights up about 2 feet so that the worm was on the bottom.
