The lake was weedy only seen a few trout brought in. Caught lots of bluegill some keepers. If they dont kill the bluegill again, next year will be great. 2 largemouth 3lb + avrage range 0.5 to 1.5lb.
Fun trip kids loved catching the spiney rays.

Badger huh, never been there before. I like trying out new lakes, ponds, streams etc. I actually have a day to go out tomorrow, do you have any tips for the largemouth? I was thinking of hitting it up early in the morning like say 4am. Is there a public launch? I will check it out on the map of how to get there? Any how any tips will be greatly appreciated, thanks later.stay safe out there

There is a public launch there. I didnt start fishing till around 6:30ish am. I was using top water popper (baby bass ) and some sipinerbait (white silver willow 2 blade) the end of the lake were the public launch is would be a good place to start. Tough fishing with the weeds. Work the docks and wait for the explosion. The other end of the lake ( north side) is where we got in to some bluegill. Lots of small ones but non-stop (white and red/white micro jig cast let sink and set hook type deal. Use small piece of worm till you catch about 4-5 spinyrays then you wont need anymore worm. By the way I think you wrote about downs,ANY CRAPPIE?
