Brett and I arrived around 10:30AM and fished from the WDFW launch(the boat is at Lake Kapowsin) Our primary target was gills but of coarse, had to make some pitches for bass
using a green worm(weightless). No takers, but I wasn't expecting much since we were stuck on the shore and a very narrow area to work with. The bluegills were biting pretty well,we used
Gulp maggots and white crappie nibbles. Both seemed to be just as effective.
We caught several dink gills,I'd venture to say 8-10 between us but very small. No official measurement but would estimate the largest BG at 4inches. We even caught 2 lmb....again,
very small, they might have gone 3-4 inches. All fish were released.
Spoke with a guy that just finished fishing,he had caught and released a couple half pound bass.

My son and I picked up some trash and called it a day around 12:30PM.

Weather was overcast, dry with a very light breeze from the west.

Am thinking of hitting Trouth Lake on my way home from work tonight. Sounds like you and your son had a good time ... always a great time with the kids.
