Targeted bass on the NE side of the lake with no luck. Went to the wooden pillars near the WDFW access point. Hooked up a 3/0 or 4/0 size hook, put on my last tiny bit of worm and tossed it in with no bobber between 4:40-4:50 PM. Had it drifting there for about a minute about 20 feet from the wooden pillars about 1/4 to 1/2 of the way out from shore along the pillars for about a minute. Was looking out toward the pillars to maneuvar the boat and heard a huge splash and saw a monster fish about 10 feet from the boat behind me. Hooked an unexpected monstrous trout on that tiny hook with that tiny worm! Managed to get it in the boat after tiring it out. If I hadn't had experience this summer/fall with pinks I would have lost it for sure. Never caught a steelhead before but the adipose seems like it was clipped but I'm not sure having never had experience with that type of fish. Didn't notice it was a female until I took the picture on shore. I only found one mention of steelhead in Lake Kapowsin and it seems like they can move up from Kapowsin Creek into Kapowsin Lake into Ohop Creek. Measurement was about 26 inches.

Definately the best moment of my life and I dreamt about the experience all night long!
