Took the kid out to Long to fish from shore both of us were itching to get out with the weather as nice as it was. No fish water extremely low. Water must have been down 15-20ft. Does anyone know when they bring it back up so you can launch boats?

spokanebassman: My house overlooks the lake and I have seen the lake full in February and always back up in March. This year may be different because Avista is working on the dam and the below normal rain/snow may mean very little run off. Updated reservoir level information is available by calling Avista's recorded Lake Information Line at (509) 495-8043. Last year I did pick up a couple cold water smallmouth in March.

heard yesterday (the 9 th) that it will not rise for at least 2 weeks and probable a month. don't know how fast they will fill it. I too live on the lake and have found fishing from the boat real slow when it is initially filled (we are trolling alot of the time.) Crappie in the shallows have bit pretty well in april before if the current isn't too strong.
