3/6/2010 4:35:00 PMI fished St Clair for a few hours the last 2 days, Friday from 3-5:30pm and Saturday from 11am - 1:30pm. Had many bites dragging a drop shot 4" straight tailed worm in 20-35ft, real slow. Wife caught 1 small bass around 9 inches, I had a trout to the boat but early released it. Soft bite but they are there in many areas at that depth. Key seems to be finding wood cover at that depth range along sunny shorelines. No great action but a few bites.

May I ask what you were using on your drop shot? Watermelon Senko failed for me.

3/6/2010 7:38:00 PMI was using a green pumpkin colored 4" Yamamoto Cut Tail worm about 12 inches above the weight.

3/6/2010 9:05:00 PMThanks. I seen the 4" part but not the color. Maybe I will try it again down there if I am off work this week. I always seem to catch fish in St. Clair, but always later in the year, and always small fish. There must be some bigger ones, I see them every now and again but can't get them to bite. lol, that's fishing!
