Well I went here planning on bass fishing but when I launched I noticed there were bugs everywhere.Looked like a new hatch so I decided to try for some trout first since they were feeding heavily on the surface all over the lake.I tried trolling but the boat was scaring the fish off so I started chasing these little schools with the elec.trolling motor and would cast a j-5 rapala.Caught a nice limit doing that. All the trout were 14"-18" long.It was a really fun bite but faded off so I finally went bass fishing.
I decided I was only gonna use a senko and a yamamoto creature today.I got 2 bass in about an hour of trying.1 came off a little rock pile in about 8' of water. The other came in 26' on one of my little honey holes.Biggest one was almost 4 pounds.Water was 47-48 degrees. Can't wait for over 50 degrees. It will start getting good then.
