My friend caught this huge rainbow or tripliod when we were fishin 4 smallies off some rocks at Long Lake, its the biggest trout ive seen first hand pulled out of there. caught 1-3lb smallies about all day

I'm certainly no expert, but that looks very much like a landlocked chinook. Black-gummed mouth, black tips on a rather forked tail, pointy jaws, and of course the very chrome appearance. Regardless, nice picture. I bet it was a hoot to catch!

ive havnt seen chinook come out of long since my dad was in the paper for catchin a couple back in 94 95.. Awesome! hope u let it go but i understand if you didnt!

Hey i'm the guy who caught that salmon. Caught two of them actually and released them. I was thinkining that it couldn't be a rainbow due to fact it had black gums. Probably would of caught more, but we were competing in a bass tourney and didn't have time to mess around

From what I undestand the Chinook escape from Cour de Allene and make their way to Long via the Spokane River.

Hey, how did you pick up the Chinook? It looks like you were near the dam in that picture. Did you launch at the DNR camp ground? Thanks.
