Just returned from an 8 day adventure on Potholes. What an interesting trip. We expierenced everything from sunshine, crazy winds and even snow!!!

The fishing wasn't fast and furious, but it was steady and consistant. Not alot of fish marked on the finder, but there were allot of cruisers. Me and my friend ended up with 42 fish to the net in the 8 days. We actually only fished 7 days because of the 80+mph winds on one of the days.

All of the fish caught were in Lind Coulee. Most of the days there were alot of boats on the water with us and it made it interesting navigating around them at times, especially in the wind.

We were cruising at 1.4 to 1.5mph and the fish were caught in 18-25 feet of water, with the 20-25 foot range being more consistant.

I was trolling worms, while my friend was trolling gulp alive minnow in chartreuse. Both did well. We used 3oz bottom bouncers.

Make sure you are really tapping bottom when fishing. If you see any fish somewhat elevated, raise your rod high and then drop it down. Didnt work all the time, but it did bring some fish to the net.

The average size was 14-16 inches with an occasional 19+ fish.

Overall a GREAT trip. Can't wait to go back!!
