Additional Notes:
Very poor walleye fishing. Only saw a few fish caught all weekend. After talking to a few people, we came to the conclusion that after coming out of a poor unstable, cold and windy weather pattern last week…into a very high prx, flat calm winds and 80 degree weather…that perhaps it was too much of a change for the walleye and took them off the bite. It’s about all we could figure….that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Seems like fishing was tough everywhere over the weekend, guess I didn't miss much with my non-fishing trip to the west side. Thanks for the detailed report, better luck next time Mav! :-)

Thank you for the great report. I will steal your format and use it to post my report in the future. I was on Potholes on Saturday 5-15 and caught one SMBass at 6am in Lind Coulee and that was it all day. the many walleye fishermen and women i spoke with had one in the boat here and there a day of fishing not catching. the water temp was up 10 degrees from Sunday 5-9 (56) to Saturday 5-15 (66). the carp are moving into Crab Creek in big numbers, some big ones too.

Thanks for the report Mav, can't complain about being in that weather that's for sure.

Hewes: Thanks Phil, hope you're back on the water soon!

Allan: Thanks, this report format works well for me. I just use my personal log and usually delete some irrelevant information...copy and paste over to here. I didn't realize the water temp changed that much...that's amazing! Certainly could help make my case. I noticed a lot of carp up at the face of the dunes too. Wallys were slow but I did see some awfully nice SM though.

Jens: You're right...I loved the weather! But I forgot that one little rule about the tempature change of more than 5-7 degrees...doh!!
