6/6/2010 8:38:00 AMThanx for the post. Poacher Hater is right, if you use bait like a worm or powerbait you are supposed to keep all your fish. If you want to catch and release the best way is to use barbless hooks, 'artificial' baits like plastic worm and try to keep the fish in the water.
You can keep as many perch as you like I think on Tanwax! But limit is 5 trout. Many lakes have too many perch so keeping all the perch you catch is often a good thing. Perch taste better than stocked trout anyways, even the little ones with all the bones.
You did well in your writeup considering ESL, congrats on a successful trip and nice photos w/the trout.

6/6/2010 11:12:00 AMWell, I have to thank Poacher Hater and Knotabassturd for the informacion. I didn't know I made a few mistakes. There was a Game Warden who explained me about the barbless hooks for C&R , I had a couple in my tackle box,the point of using barbless hooks is to help to prevent fish mortality. He didn't say anything about worms and powerbait. So I thought I was doing OK. I admit I gotta read the book.

6/6/2010 10:41:00 PMA Game Warden didn't explain the rules of reaching your limit of trout, while catch and releasing, when fishing with bait? Take the friendly information given by other fisher person's and apply it on your next fishing trip for trout. Keep in mind regulations from lake to lake can be very different. Normally, learning the rules from a Warden, means the infraction has already been committed..
