Rough lauch with wind pushing waves right at me and once away from the launch it was a white knuckler through the waves in my 12' boat. After that start, however, things improved significantly.

Pulled plugs, FlatFish and Kwikfish mostly in F5 size perch scale and brown crawdad patterns worked the best. THe size 60 rainbow trout hot shot was also a consistent producer this trip.

First fish of the day was a 17" brown that probably went 2.5 lbs. Next fish was about a 16" tiger trout also a very healthy specimen. Rounded out the day with two fat rainbows in the 12" bracket.

Caught one more rainbow later in the day to fill out my limit and one of my passengers also caught another 12"+ rainbow in the afternoon.

My buddies fished in thier boat on Sunday morning while I fished in mine. Fishing was slower and we still managed six between 4 anglers with two of those in the 15"+ category.

All-in-all we caught fewer fish than many past trips to Park Lake, at the same time, everything we caught this trip was big so it was huge fun!

Tight Lines!
