6/21/2010 11:18:00 PMI've fished that lake for the past 27 years...anywhere from 10 to 30 boat trips per year...2 to 6 hours per trip...plus countless shore/dock/boat launch stops. My heart still skips a beat when I make a perfect cast into an imposible spot where I've caught big bass many times before. The bass can get very large, but are getting tough to catch. The place can get very crowded, but it's still my very favorite local bass hole. Thanks for asking, it's was fun to think about.

6/22/2010 2:45:00 AMLike the reports, have you fished the upper portion, Martha at all? Smaller, maybe no pressure, must hold some pigs.

6/22/2010 6:37:00 AMI fished Martha about 20 years ago with a buddy. We actually got a boat in there and fished all around that little lake. We caught bass on almost every cast, but I the fish were stunted...all fat, but short, the longest about 12 inches. Never went back because I felt there were no big bass in there (but it was fun to dream about before we went). If you want to try, park on Hwy 9 at the bottom of the hill, take a (wet) trail back to the power line road. If I remember it was 2 power poles (maybe 3 poles) to the north from the parking spot - and there was a little trail/road back into Martha. Hope that helps and good luck.
