Went out to Stevens for the second time this week, sorry no report for the first outing, I forgot! Targeting Kokanee throughout the lake with no success. When I was out earlier in the week I picked up a cutthroat at 20' two Kokanee at 30' and a nice 1.5lb kokanee at 55', but this time no matter what depth/speed/lure combo I used I could not entice a bite. Fished from 5pm-8pm trolling wedding rings, corn, and dodgers. Did manage a really nice football of a rainbow near the park on the north end of the lake. Put up an excellent fight and made a good dinner. My fish finder is consistantly marking fish from 40ft - the bottom throughout the entire lake, there are seldom times that there is not SOME fish showing on the screen..... cannot get them to bite. I think I am going to try anchoring and still fishing for those fish suspended near the bottom and see how that goes. Overall a good day on the water, water temp is up to around 65 degrees and the water skiers are out in force. Weather was all over the board this evening, WINDY, cloudy, drizzle, sunshine, WINDY. Wind finally calmed to fishable levels around 6:30 or so.
