went with my dad on a last minute decission out to bembow to through some jigs for some night time crappie fishin.. when i first got there i started throwing a red and black booyah spinner with a colorado and willow leaf one red one black with a curly tail on the trailer only got one hit but no hook ups so my dad and i decided to go ahead and throw some worms and grubs in purple and pumpkin color and still only a couple of hits but no hook ups... finally i decided to switch to my old 4' 6" ultra light with 2lb test and started doing my old jigging technique and started laying into some ok 6-8 inch crappie but as the night wore on they started to get smaller and smaller so we packed up and left at arround 10. was using glow in the dark chartreuse trout magnets with shad dart heads....
it was crazy how many people were out there camping i guess bembow isnt like it used to be. but right before i left a group of people came and asked me what kind of salmon were running in the lake so atleast i got a good laugh and had some fun bonding with my dad.
