Had a big fish fry over the weekend and now time to replenish the freezer, so figured I would see if my good ole fishing hole could produce for me. Some time ago I remember reading about this ole southern boy who would have fun confounding his fishing partners by sneaking along a tube with fresh garlic in it and would have a couple of plastic baits he would pull out when they were not looking, so figured I would try it out and see if it was for real. Well let me tell you it's for REEL! Could not keep em off my line, limited by noon 30 with 10" and above... So if your coming this way, bring your garlic, vampires you know this close to Forks. Ha! Klahowya!

BMGW, I gotta ask ya, What is the "Klahowya"? I mean, I know it is a Forest Service Campground near Snider on the upper Sol Duc, but I seen you say this before, so my curiosity has gotten the better of me.

Hey BMGW,

Nice catch again. If I remember correctly you make some kind of crappie jig or something like it. Do you have those for sale?

Thanx again!

Hi Randy, yes I do have a line of jigs for Crappie called (Dons Dandy Crappie Jigs) distribution is poor and is mostly at mom and pop shops near by lakes that I have fished, but you can buy them direct and in fact I will donate 5% to this website on any sales as a result of exposure here. Email me and I will send you copy back with the prices and selections: bmgw@q.com

Klahowya BMGW! I might make it out that way one of these days. Is it pretty much a get out on the water event or is there much shore access to be had for the crappie? Thanx for the report.

It's best for boat access, there is one fishing dock on the North end of the lake open to the public but the pressure is quite heavy there mostly for trout however. A canoe will work this lake fine if your up to it..
