10/23/2010 8:40:00 PMMost likely, the fat belly on the bass is food......stocking up for winter. This time of year, bass feed heavily in preparation for the winter. Most people agree that bass sense the cooling water temperature and shorter length of daylight, and this triggers heavy feeding. Plus, it is the time of year when food is most abundant....young-of-the-year minnows and crawfish are now of edible size for the bass. I'm no expert by any means....this is information I've gathered through years of fishing and reading and listening to others. Thanks for the report and it's good you hada fun day.

11/9/2010 11:33:00 PMI see people catching fish from the dock at the middle of the lake on the eastern shore; the one straight west from N 65th St. The water gets deep really quickly all along the eastern shoreline. If you can get out on a boat in the evening after a sunny day the trout have a feeding frenzy at the surface, eating the bugs, right in the middle of the lake. Next time I'm taking some dry flies along with me.
