EWU Fishing Club
"Potholes Cast N Blast 2010"

The Eastern Washington Fishing Club's first outing:

We started out up in the dunes each morning, duck hunting. It was fairly slow for us, being beginners and not a lot of birds period. But it picked up throughout the weekend.

After we hunted we ran down to the rock piles and caught some good smallmouth and largemouth. In all a few good smallmouth with a 4+ lber. and a LM at 5 lbs.

Caught them all in 6 feet of water or less in 59F temps.

Neat concept to include the rod and gun. Years ago I had something going called the Wing Shooting and Walleye Whacking Weekend, we ended up just calling it the triple dub. It was great fun and brought people together for Chucker hunting and Walleye fishing along the Columbia. As we got older and muscles sorer each outing, it kinda faded away. So good on you guys and enjoy every moment!

Hey Nick, nice fish. Feet get a little wet duck hunting? Good luck with EWU fishing club and your college experience. I enjoyed fishing with you back at the qualifier their earlier this year. Hope your lakes don't freeze up to early over there. Take care, Larry A.
