Due to conflicting work schedules We didn't get on the water until late after noon. We saw Lake Chelan Adventures--Joe--coming in as we were going out, and saw Andy from Darell & Dad's out on the lake, along with several other boaters. We worked the lower basin/trench area in water from 150 to 215 feet, with most fish marked in the 150-170 feet range. We put down ace hi-flys, small flat-fish, and a spoon, and We changed the colors also. I didn't have a Russian Wobbler so used a Coyote trolling spoon. All to no avail. We marked a few arches on the bottom, and tried to bounce the lures off their heads, but no hits. When we arrived the water was pond smooth, but there was a storm coming over the mountain with wind, and looked like rain on the ridge. We fished for a couple hours and headed out around sundown. We used smelly jelly shrimp flavor to ad spice to the lures, but not good enough this afernoon. If the weather isn't too rough in the morning we may give another go, but wind gusting pretty good out as I write this post. The fish were there, but our presentation wasn't up to par. Tight lines and continued great weather

Lewis, very strange to read a report where nothing was caught. Still, it is good to read the catching and not so catching reports. What was the fix for your recent boat mechanical issue?

Hey ya MotoBoat, Seeing (and posting) the reports of catchin is always fun, but not all trips produce fish, at least for me anyway. LOL. I've narrowed it down to maybe being the shutoff switch that keeps the engine from starting in gear. My cables are getting sorta aged, and during the times out while in the teens, the cable would stick until warmed up. It might be that some stretching or slippage has occured. It seems to be working fine now, Although I haven't tried launching at Mill bay lately. LOL Take care and thanks for the comment.
