after reading the latest report on this lake, i decided to give it a try. i used chartreuse powerbait with 18"of leader, then about 30", no bites, then i tried lures, threw all my favorites at em, no luck. i tried bobber/garden worms, then a bobber/1chartreuse power egg and worm, varied depths. went back to power bait for a while, and gave up at noon. i saw 1 fish get caught in the 3 1/2hours i was there....

Sounds like most of the trout have been caught, which is probably just as well. Cassidy is not a good lake for trout when the weather gets warmer because there's no deep water. Bass & crappie dig it, but there are way too many dinks.

i think the problem is that wdfw only put 441 trout in there this year. although i don't see it as a bad thing, because the crappies and the bass won't have to compete with trout as much this year allowing them to grow, and i feel like cassidy would actually benefit the most from a catfish stock..as that black nasty water doesn't seem like a suitable habitat for trout...+that lake is infested with warm water species of fish which are too much competition for trout... i think they should use the resources to stock another lake that can be inhabited successfully by trout, or put catfish in cassidy (even though there is already a population of catfish in there)
