Fishing was pretty slow. Caught a total of 2 and missed a few. Water temp was between 48-56 depending on which area of the lake we were in. This is a picture of a nice one my buddy caught. It looked over 4 LBS to me, but the crummy scale we used said it was only 1.5 LBS. I don't think it will be long before the fishing really turns on!

Perhaps your scale reads in kilos. Thanks for the report, I agree it won't be long until all the lowland lakes are on fire.

I was a little jealous. He would have had one heck of a fight on his hands if the water temperature was a little warmer.

Digital scale? 2 settings, like G-man was saying. Switch it, then test on a 5lb bag of potatoes. Spring scale that reads in lbs? Toss it. That looks like a nice fish!
Nice report. Willing to share the color of the plastics?

It was a cheap spring scale which is now in the garbage, time to invest in a good one. We had some luck on black grubs with silver flakes, however I believe he caught this one on a black and yellow worm.
