My friend Joey won a guided trip on Lake Chelan with Joe Heinlen of Lake Chelan Adventures and was nice enough to invite me along. There's only one word to describe this trip . . WOW! If you're like me and don't have a boat that's big enough to handle a large body of water like this then a guided trip is the way to go. The fish that Joey is holding went 6 1/2 - 7 pounds and from all the fish hanging from the pole we got 23 lbs 11 oz of fillets. I had to do some major rearranging of my freezer to fit them all. You can read all the particulars of the trip on the post that Joe put up earlier but I will say this about this trip. I've never seen anyone work as hard as Joe did to make sure we had a great time and that we went home with a cooler full of fish. I would highly recommend his service to anyone who's looking to have a great day of fishing on Lake Chelan.

Hey Armando. You wouldn't happen to be the same guy that was in Western Bass Club ? You look familiar so I'm guessing yes. We met at North lake many years ago and you told me about the club. I joined years back and been going well, just so you know. Thanks. Nice fish you guys caught, looks yummy.

Hey Chris. Yep that was me. I was with Western for many years. Served on the Board for most of those years. I always stop by the booth at the Sportsmans Show just to say "hi" to all the old timers. It's always been a great group. Every once in a while the notion of taking up tournament fishing again pops into my head but it usually doesn't stay there very long. If I saw you I'd remember you but right now I can't put a face with your name. Stopped by North Lake on opening day for about an hour on our way back from the coast. First time I'd been there in years. Haven't had a chance to try the fish yet. If I eat them all before Joey gets back from her Disneyland trip she won't take me fishing with her anymore.
