After catching my first kokanee yesterday I got kokanee fever. Took my 2 year old daughter and gf to lake Roesiger to try our luck. Well, the boat launch parking was pretty much a cluster, but I managed to find a spot up on the road. Launched out around 10:30 and headed toward the middle of the 1st lake. With all the trailers in the parking lot I thought there would be a lot of ski boats and chaos like there usually is, but it was actually calm. Set up 1 rod with a 1/2 oz weight, macks flash light and wedding ring tipped in juiced up corn. The other rod with a 1/4 oz weight and apex trout killer tipped with plain corn. Set lines about 20 pulls on the wedding ring and 30 pulls on the trout killer. First fish came in about 5 mins of trolling in 45' of water. Ended up being a 8" koke. Trolled around for a while in 40-50' of water and the trout killer went down and landed a small cutthroat. Then the wedding ring went down again and landed another koke. By 12:00 or so some bigger ski boats stated to come out and water got a little rough... and the fishing did too. The water even started to look a little dirty for some reason like the big boats were sturring dirt up or something. The rest of the day was slow fishing for us. Called it around 3 p.m. All in all we took 2 kokes home and released around 4 small rainbows and a cutthroat.
