Water was pretty murky, only about 4 feet of visibility. Water temp was about 57. We fished all weekend from one of the docks at rainbow beach. Fishing was ok on friday, but it was great on saturday and sunday. The trout are extremely healthy loooking. We caught a lot of trout in the 20"+ range. We caught 3 holdovers over 3 lbs and another over 4. The triploids are starting to move down the beach and we were able to bring in 2 on saturday evening and 2 more on sunday evening. The trips weighed 5 lb, 15 oz, 6 lb 9oz, 6lb 11oz, and 8lb 7oz. Overall, we kept about 20 fish, almost all of them at least 16".

Best combo was a yellow garlic mallow with spring green no sparkles powerbait. They were also hitting fluorescent orange and chartreue pretty well, both with no sparkles.
We also caught a fair amount on hatchery brown power eggs and 2 of the triploids came in on worm and bobber. If i can upload pictures later, I'll get a few up.

The best fishing was between 5 and 8 am, and after 6pm casting between the docks. However, we were getting bites all day.

I am going over near there next week, in the area at least. Thanks for the positive report.

Quad, the tribe just dumped a BUNCH of those trips up to 15 lbs in the lake. They are in there for the catching. The lake is still up really high from runoff and has yet to start coming down. Most of the trips will be near the shore and up off the bottom a ways.

Thanks for the report! I love Twin!

It wouldn't let me upload pictures, but I put 2 in my album if anyone is interested.
As those triploids start cruising the beach, they start hitting hard on a worm and bobber. Last year we caught a bunch that weighed between 5 and 9 lbs, all on worm and bobber.
