I haven't posted a report in a long time so figured I would make my Rufus report for the last three days. To start it seems it does not matter the color of bait or artificial you use as these fish are pretty hungry for anything. I have seen fish caught on about anything you can imagine. We used multiple colors of powerbait with varying success. We fish the lower lake and seems the current flow and level has more to do with fishing than what you use. I would like to say and plead that all who are fishing to please be patient with one another. With a hot fishing time on Rufus people are getting inpatient with each other. There are plenty of fish to be caught and enough room so all can fish. So let us all enjoy them. Also with debris still floating around especially the lower lake. Watch for logs and the Army Corps of Engineers cleaning up that debris. They are working a lot on it right now. Here is a couple of pictures from this weekend. First is my daughters fish from yesterday and my buddies from Saturday.

I am not sure about the upper launch is but the lower launch is good just busy with all the boats. Currents aren't much at the lower launch either its in a semi sorta bay.

Thanks afk we had a fun weekend.

You've got good perspective. Everyone was a rookie once, and not everyone fishes all the time. When it's hot, everyone tries, so there's apt to be a wider range of skill and experience. Thanks for the reminder....

Lundegard I love to fish with people around. I enjoy hearing whoops and hollers when people who don't normally catch bigger fish get one. Also teaching people who are new to fishing or haven't for awhile is a joy, especially when I show them something and they start catching.
