We arrived at the south end boat launch by the dam at about 6:30am.
The water was calm, and Baker was in full beauty with no clouds around it.
Hardly any boats around, which surprised me a bit (good time to fish!).

We headed straight across to the eastern shore and worked it up and down.
Although the fish were all over the finder, we only caught a couple there.

Then we headed back across to the western shore just south of the launch.
Caught a couple more there too, but still felt there should be more action.

About 11:00 we headed up to the north-eastern shore across from the resort.
Wow!...The trout were hittin' hard and heavy there. So hot at one point,
that my buddy and I both caught one at the same time.
When you're BOTH reelin' one in at once, who's gonna wield the net? :-)

Needless to say - even with a bunch of them getting away, we limited in the
next couple hours or so.
The haul: All rainbow trout with one kokanee thrown in for fun. :-)
The Bait: Wedding rings, pop gear, worms and power bait. Heck they'll eat
just about anything you put on the hook!
Good eatin' too, as they were all at least 12 inches long.

The lake level was higher than I'd seen it, the water cold, and the sun out!
Now is definitely the time to hit this lake.
