Got to Baker lake at about 6pm Saturday night. We did not have a camp site or anthing reserved. We rolled into Shannon creek to check it out and found an awsomer site(#18) avail and right next to the boat launch. We were going to go out and try the evenign bite but we were having some trouble with out outboard so we did not go.
In the morning a nice guy towed us out around 6am and we used our electric trolling motor. One pole had downrigger and the othre bannana weight. Fished the rigger at 25-30 and the other about 40 line pulls. Using a doger, dual hook combo tipped with shrimp and kril sent.
Had proably 10 fish on from 6:30-10 but only landed 3. Next time I may use a treble hook for my 2nd hook as these guys easily shake the hook (is that allowed?).
All in all great time althought a little soggy from rain. Loling forward to my next time.

That's awesome! First I've read that there was an evening bite on these fish. That's good to know for when I make it up there. Thanks for the info.
