Father in law just finished making a friend a custom pole so we decided to hit the lake and test it out a bit. Arrived at the lake to find the only public place to fish was a little 40 foot long strip of dirt on the edge of the lake with a boat ramp right down the middle, private land takes up the rest of the perimiter of the lake. but we gave it the benefit of the doubt and had our lines wet by about 6 PM hoping to get into the evening bite. We fished everything in the tackle box to no avail no bites no nibbles no fish rolling nothing then when it was about pitch black approx 8:30 they finally started to bite we threw everything the thing that worked the best was the Chartreuse spinner caught three small bass the biggest at around six inches had one hit hard and run my drag out about 20 yards jump and spit the hook out so im assuming there are big ones in there. in a nut shell small fishing area super late feed mediocre catch but fun none the less a good time oh and once the sun sets break out the bug spray.

Yes there are some very large bass in the lake. Helps if you can fish from a boat.
