Fished the canline at Rufus today & got 2 in less than 1/2 hour. One was 5 1/2 lbs and the other was 6 1/2 lbs. Both caught on a flasher & black squid. I'll try & send a photo. The larger one was longer & thinner & much brighter red meat.

Nice job, see anyone else out there doing as good? What speed & depth were you?

Nice Job lohans4, The lower basin and can line area really produce in the winter months, Sounds like you had them dialed in. Hope you get to pull in some more of the Rufus woods trout. Look forward to hearing of your trips.

Wish I would of fished Rufus before going to Roosevelt! That same set up worked a week ago for me.

Sorry I haven't got back to the comments sooner but I couldn't get in without getting a new password. Hopefully I'm up & running. In answer to your questions Kokaholic, I was only using a small splitshot & running at least 100' behind. I was trolling against the current & just barely moving along the canline. I hope this helps if you try your luck. There was only two trailers in the lot & both boats were on the opposite side from me, so I couldn't see how they were doing. It took me longer to load my boat by myself than what it took to catch the two fish!
