So, we got onto the lake at about 7:20am. We were going to try out our new 12ft. fiberglass boat we got. Floats perfect. Anyway, started out trolling with rapalas towards and around the island. No luck. Threw everything I could find in my tackle box from spinners, spoons, to jointed rapalas. Nothing. Anchored up by the island around 9am to use powerbait. Had a couple little hits but nothing to really shake a stick at. I believe it's too early and too cold. We ended up trolling down by the highway and I was using an F-7 jointed rapala and BAM, a real quick hit that felt good but couldn't get a good hookset. All in all, it was a good day. In a couple weeks, it's going to start getting good out there! Tight Lines!
