Hit Lake Tapps for first time this spring. Arrived at noon. Fished til 1800. Water temp was 48 to 49 degs upon arrival. Finally warmed up to 52 before we left. Was throwing crankbaits at shore around Snag Island. Got a hit and set hook. Couldnt get fish to surface. After a while finally got it to boat. It was a 44 inch Tiger Musky. Got a few other light hits on tubes but no hookups. Most fish marked in 5 to 12 ft of water. Lake is within a foot of full pool. Looking for a good season this year. If weather will stay good fishing should drastically improve

Hey, Wayne, Ron and I are fishing Tapps tomorrow. Will be out there in his Tritan. Sounds like the best stradegy is to concetrate on the shallower water. I would think with the past couple days of sun, water temps should be 50 and up. Hope we get into some of those brown fish that don't have any teeth. Will give you a report when I get back. Doin' honey-do's today.
