Kokanee fishing is so slow this year, decided to give it a shot this morning because it wasnt going to rain. Trolled with the normal "uncle bill" for a while with no luck. Bought a brand new Apex the other day and decided to give it a try, within about 10 minutes saw my pole moving a little and didnt think anything of it then a couple minutes later another little shake, I decided to take the rod out of the holder and sure enough I had been dragging a 13" trout around the lake for a while. It was a fish but not the Koke I wanted. We are releasing 6500 trout that weigh over a pound each and average 15" this Saturday the 21st I would venture to say American Lake will be great fishing in a couple days.

I was on the lake yesterday aka wed. from 7am to 3pm and hooked 3 koks and boated 2 of them and boated a nice 15inch bow as well ! last saterday hooked 9 fish and boated only 2 lol ! I been marking the koks 10ft down on the riggers and in 50-60 ft of water . My f/f was blowing up in the morning in front of the boat house and then over by the pay to launch area , green and reds work well : P and 0.8 -1.3 mph is the ticket.

There is always fish marked in front of the boathouse, and to the right of the pay to launch site is one of my favorite spots too. What kinda boat are you in snake7676? Black jet boat or blue and cream crestiner, or alumaweld? The two kokes I have got this year were at 15ft and 20ft and both in 60ft of water.

I think I saw you out there. You hang out over on the VA Hospital shore a lot? If you see me out there say hi. I am in a 15' smokercraft grey with blue graphics, a flat green alumacraft (what I was in yesterday), or a flat green 16' smokercraft. Or if you need tackle or just wanna talk fishing stop by bills boathouse and say hi. If I am not fishing I am there.

Yeah we sell all sorts of tackle. You can pretty much tie up on the side dock or pull into a empty slip for a couple minutes. We have maggots, worms, eggs, chum, dodgers, weights, pretty much anything needed to fish along with food and pop. The launch really isnt an launch there is no where to park if you launch there, and our parking is only for our customers. The "launch" you are speaking of is just a road that ends in the lake. Swing into the boathouse anytime and say hi.
