Fished Liberty opening day. I was there more to people watch than fish. I am locked to shore fishing until my new baby is born (my girlfriend thinks I will never come in if I'm in the boat. I was glad to find a small opening on the busy dock and began fishing at about 9am. I was surprised that only a small hand full of trout where caught at that time. All day went by and out of the thirty or so shore fishermen only about twenty fish where caught. Luckily they were all 2# or larger brood stock. I caught my limit at five and headed home, unfortunately several people left empty handed. This is one of Spokane's closest lakes and I'm afraid it won't produce very many fish this year.
