Well, me and the Mrs wanted to hit Eloika one more time before the week of predicted bad weather so up to Eloika we went. Plus there is a short window before the cabbage gets too bad. Didn't get there until 2 pm but that gave us plenty of time to boat 19-20 fish, most were in the 2-3 lb range with the Mrs catching the big fish of the day @ 4.3 lbs. All fish we caught were in and around the lilly pads. Our elbows are so sore and have some serious bass thumb so it's time to take a break! What a great weekend of fishing, met Mike, Aaron and Craig Dowdy at the launch, really great guys! Mike and Aaron do a great job on this site don't they! Oh, I also caught something unusual, at first I thought it was the underwear fish, but it was just a plastic sac, ha! Guy out there in a nice bass boat said I should post it so here it is!

man you guys killed it! great work! bass thumb = 100% proof that you caught fish. if a person tells fish tales about bass and has untouched thumbs, he is a liar! haha :)

Ha Ha!!!! Yes!!! I love that you posted that pic of the Underwear fish! I was the one on the lake with my two buddies, and I went online when I got home tonight to see if you guys posted it. Thanks for the entertainment. Those other two non-underwear fish look outstanding! Good to finally see you on the lake. Always enjoy reading your posts, but still haven't nailed down how you keep pulling those hogs out of the pads, I'm gonna have to get out there again before the millfoil gets too bad. -Danny

Thanks for answering a long time question of mine. I always wondered where they got the term "Bag Limit" in the fishing regs. Now I know. Great job of cleaning up the lake. Assuming you didn't release that baby.

I love it out at Elokia but have not had the luck you are having with catching a bunch. Any tips or tricks?

Nice job guy's or I guess guy & gal, it was good seeing you again. The guy (Danny) who told you to post the underwear fish is one of my buddies I went to high school with. He & my buddy TJ just started a spinnerbait co. Small world huh.

Thanks Bill, great to see you again too, was great to run into Danny out on the water, he has a very nice Bass boat! Hope his spinnerbait co does well too. Man, you would think there was a tournament out there this past weekend, this poor lake is getting hammered right now!
