Went out to Sprague two weeks ago and got skunked. Well, I don't like to get skunked. So I did some research and talked to some people and figured to it was time to try again. We hit the water about 7:30 and it was windy as hell. One guy was actually pulling is boat out to go do yard work. Ouch! We started trolling by Catfish Charlie Island and headed towards Harper Island (with the wind). Whole lot of nothing going on when I told my friend with the only wedding ring on to reel up so I could put a piece of worm on his hook and that's when it started to get interesting. We got two on the first pass and another of my friends puts on a wedding ring. Three more on the second pass and now the rest of us are scrambling for our tackle boxes. A couple more passes and we finish the day with 8 bows and some wicked sun burns. That spray on sunscreen is worthless.

Nice catch never fished the lake but have gone by it many time on trips to Spokane area. What was the average size of the fish? Looks like a few toads on the stringer. d=^ )#

Were they muddy tasting? I've found that the Bows out of that lake are only worth smoking and the smaller the better...
